In March of 2009, we found out we were pregnant. By the end of the month, we found out we were having twins. We had 36 weeks to prepare for their arrival and still nothing could have prepared us for the all consuming, life changing love that we have for these two little people. They have been and continue to be such a huge blessing to us and we are so grateful to have them in our lives. This first year has been filled with so many changes and challenges but in the end, every moment, every sleepless night, every tear, every diaper was worth it. We are truly excited to see what the future holds for Ava and Noah and are honored to share it with them.
Ava and Noah celebrated their first birthday on the 24th of October. In Korean tradition, the first birthday, or Dol, is a very important milestone. We tried to incorporate both Korean and American traditions. We had a great time and Noah and Ava handled all the excitement like champs!

Thank you to all of our family and friends for all of the love and support you've given our family this year. If it takes a village to raise a child, it must take a small city to raise two! A special thank you to Daniel for all your help with the Dol! You are amazing!
Happy First Birthday Ava & Noah!

I seriously always think I can get used to their absolute cuteness, but it still manages to astound me every single time. How do you guys stand it? I would have hugged them to death already :)
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness! That last picture of them looking at each other just kills me. :) Love you, Ava and Noah! (And Katrina & Nathan!)
